Indigo naturalis, also known as Qing dai, is an herb commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine. It is extracted from the leaves of specific plants including, Indigofera tinctoria, baphieacanthuscusia, Isatis tinctoria, Polygonum tinctorium, and Isatis indigotica.
Conclusions from the study were published in JAMA Dermatology.
Up to 51% of patients with psoriasis report the use of complementary and alternative medicine in their treatment regimen, although it is unclear which CAM therapies are effective for treatment of psoriasis.
